Thread: My tube site promotion experiment.

I started this animal videos website few weeks back and now I am promoting it through various channels. I will be doing the following in order to promote my site:

• Directory submission:I will be doing our dear old directory submission. I know directories have lost their importance but I will give it a try. But it won't be the main focus of my strategy.
• Social Bookmarking: I am using tagenie.com for my social bookmarking purposes. Will bookmark my site and each video post on my blog.
• Blog comments: Will comment on blogs that are in pets/animals niche. I will comment on dofollow blogs for link juice. Will search for big nofollow blogs and will write controversial comments for traffic
• Forum posting: will try to find Animal forums and some big General Discussion forums and use their signature links and of course post something "controversial".
• Article Marketing: Will do some article marketing too
• Youtube Videos: I am using youtube videos to promote my site. I am making slideshows from Windows Movie Maker, and will download other videos and edit them and upload them again. Will also try tubemogul.com for spreading the videos to other video sites. Also, bookmarking the videos will help too.

If I remove Article Marketing, It will take me 1-2 hrs per day for this. Since I am wasting my life at home eating away my parents money, I think I can do something worthwhile with all the time that I have.

My initial goal is to reach 5000 UV per month, after reaching a decent traffic I may look to monetize it with Adversal, Smowtion and CPALead.

I don't think that controversial comments would quite work for this niche. Something interesting or funny would work better.

lol..my bad..meant the same..but dunno why I wrote "controversial"..

Why dont you try and get backlinks from webmasters that have same type of niche as yours

and the site u gave for socialbookmarking is not working :P.Please check

I do not want to do link exchanges with webmasters right now..my main concentration will be on SB and Youtube promotion..

I am scourging up the web for tips on getting more views to my YT videos. If u have any tip to share then pls post here. Thanks.

Yea, copy a funny youtube video and post a "response" to video, or ask someone on youtube with a high perming video to paste a watermark to your site on it, give em 30 bucks.

You could also use ppc to generate unique traffic, to the landing page & ask them to sign up with information then you can update them on whats going on so they dont forget.

You could also do that with organic search listings taking control og google trends keywords when they appear
