I am not able to think of ways to promote my mp3 search engine.
Please suggest some easy ways by which I can promote my site and generate traffic and revenue both.

YouTube videos. Post comments on music-related ones.
(Try searching on YouTube for "<song name> lyrics" and you'll find a ton.)
Visit music-related forums. Use your signature wisely.
Visit music-related blogs and leave non-spam comments.
That's another good idea there, too ^
Upload videos - and provide a linkback to your site!
Yup, those are nice ways by both of you.
Waiting for more...
BTW : Why do you think people on a music forum will visit my site, when they already have lots of music sites before hand for them.
Look at the forums/blogs people are searching for particular songs. Point them to your site so the can download their desired songs. Most probably they'll visit your site again.
use permalinks for each song to get Google traffic, remember previews must be 30 seconds long or youtube will take them down
You don't even need to just upload previews, you can do what others do and upload entire songs, put the lyrics in the description, and right before them put: Find this song and many more available free at <link here>! --- I guarantee that people will visit it and use the engine. You can also try using Twitter for promotion, it usually works well for sites like this.
That's what you need to determine. Why would anyone want to use your site instead of, say, Playlist.com or another popular mp3 search engine? You need to develop a special feature and use that when you advertise!BTW : Why do you think people on a music forum will visit my site, when they already have lots of music sites before hand for them.![]()
Kovich - If I upload full song, the user who was searching fo that song, will download it from youtube itself. Isn't it better to use preview instead.
Well, that's a good question.
If you upload the whole song, it could be possible for them to download it. But if you do use the whole song, they'll get what they came for and be pleased, which will make them more likely to follow your link. If they come to hear a song, and it cuts out after 30 seconds, they'll be pissed and just run another search on YouTube. Give them what they want, and then recommend that they can download that song, and others, at your site.![]()
