    Red face

    Recently
I found a new site which offers publishers and advertisers a new way to
profit (either money, either traffic, or any other way)This new way
involves Audio Advertisment. You ad a small piece of code to your site
(it doesn't matter where, as it's taking a 1x1 pixel area), and your
visitors are listening to audio ads.You can also become an affiliate, and get some extra revenue by refering people to signup and use it.I haven't used it yet, but it seems promising, and I would like to use it someday

Arrow A new advertising method! Voice ads!

Nice idea...just try to consider not everybody has full hearing (like me for example, I am profoundly deaf).

Here are some stats to give you an idea of how many people "Wont" hear your advertisement:

    Deaf, both ears 0.18%
Cannot hear & understand any speech 0.23%
At best, can hear & understand words shouted in the better ear 0.49%"

Wikipedia estimates that, worldwide, 1 in 1000 people are deaf. (0.1%)

Considering the world population is 6.6 billion,
    0.1% = 6.6 million
    0.18% = 11.9 million
    0.23% = 15.2 million
    0.49% = 32.3 million

So, depending on the accuracy of the statistics, and how you define deafness, the answer could be anywhere between 6 million and 35 million

Thats a lot, and is one good reason (given the size of the market) to make websites as accessable as possible.

I browse with my PC speakers turned off.

    Audio is just so distracting!

Site seems to be offline for me? What are the rates like? This advertising method sucks, but it's great if you have a paid to click sites, users there don't bother hearing it

I dont think there are many who browse with speakers turned on. There might be some but they either have head phone with hard rock band song. Even some of them would be worried about the virus that is turning on the sound and they would eventually turn off the website.
