Try a harder niche then.
Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher Page-Rank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.I think if your domain has an authority its automatically going to get a Pagerank and a top rank.

PageRank is basically Google's own ruler in terms of authority and reputation. Yes, PR does help with a backlink's quality. However, I don't really agree with your notion. Just because a we think a domain has authority, it doesn't mean Google does. A website gets its sense of authority from "quality content" or by providing a valuable service, etc. There are some people who try to cheat the system to achieve high PR's, but that is only a short term benefit IMO.
