Thread: Pages getting De-indexed

Pages of one of my site is getting de-indexed regularly. Don't know the reason. Earlier my site had 1200+ Indexed pages but now it's only 600..

It's has not any duplicate content..

Can you tell me what's the reason behind it??

How any inbound links does your site show in Yahoo Site Explorer and in Google Webmaster Tools?

URL is Bollywood Wallpapers, Sulumits Retsambew, WWE Superstars, Tattoos!

Most of the site has zero content on the pages. Those pages will get de-indexed most of the time. I am surprised that 1200 pages were indexed at one time.

When there isn't any text on the pages, what do think the spiders have to work with? They never see a web page and images are not content.

There are a lot of nice babes on your site.

Did you change your page titles recently?

When we do this, Google send these pages back to sandbox area. It is very normal get pages indexed, de-indexed and then re-indexed. Just make sure that your URLs are alright, your titles are unique for each page (even if you've changed), and your pages still have almost same no. of inbound links. Sometimes, when inbound links are withdrew, the value or authority of those pages is reduced. This reason has the least probability but it is reason in some cases. Content won't matter much. If it is unique, just stay confident. The reason can be change of titles, bad/errored URLs, web server issues and bots were not able to index pages after 4 trials, and at last if your inbound links are changed or removed.

Well I have around 4 or 5 sites on Wallpapers with no content.. But My only this site facing this problem. Others have Indexed pages. And have one more site whose pages were reduced by 100. I have changed the title.

Yes, I have changed Title and Description but not too much. Just add one title to both..

Because backlinks are increasing... None was withdrew.. There is no bad-error URL's. No server issues..

Yes.. I'm sure that change of titles sometimes become a reason of de-indexing.. But they're re-indexed soon. I've personally experienced this. If everything else is fine, it'd be re-indexed.

Also, there should be only moderate interlinking. I think you already have moderate interlinking of pages. Else one page that was deindexed can get other linked pages de-indexed as well.

Keep in mind that the number of pages in Google's index is irrelevant, unless it drops to zero. Pages without content will not usually show up in search results.

What matters is how well individual pages are ranked. Pages without any content very rarely show up in search results.

I think content in the post with Images get your Images indexed fast. I have experienced it before. I used to own a site on News and I do add images in the news and It get indexed fast + 90% of images in my site was got indexed.

As I said earlier I have 4 or 5 sites on Wallpapers. Others wallpapers sites are also without content. But few of them have more than 1000 indexed pages. and a lot of pages gets me traffic too..

I do have a lot of comments in my this site..

I agreed with you that content will helps me to get more traffic.
