    Quality Links to Your Site

In a post on the Google Webmaster Central Blog, G says promoting your content on social sites like Twitter or Facebook are great ways to link.

On the other hand, the post also comments that the general directories are useless along with paid links and link exchanges.

I was under the impression that most social bookmarking links where nonfollow.

I think he was referring to getting traffic from social media marketing.

    Hi
In my point of view link exchange is the best way. where you can get as many as traffic from the relevant sites. Google likes this too.

There's plenty of social bookmarking links that are do follow.

I think the point is that even nofollow links can bring you traffic. If the content is good then you should pickup links from people that like it.

They still suggest using the niche directories.

Link exchanges may be seen as a link scheme and can result in a penalty. So you shouldn't go too heavy with them.

If you do exchange with Relevant sites which have good PR and good alexa it is good for you and google really loves it. I am not telling for Thousands of link exchange. you do link exchange with other processes. When you get a good position you should stop it. You should do it how much you need it not TOO HEAVY.
