I have no evidence at all, neither am I a SEO specialist, it's just a theory that should work (IMO)

But ofcourse there might be someone who can list a few things why my method wouldn't work at all

Okay, my blog, posts every day (though I have slowed down on weekends).
The post title is the majority of times 1 to 3 on google search!
    Interior keywod phrases, etc.
    Also the same on google.
Now you know why I do not obsess when it comes to google!

Another blog, almost as good as the above!

And idiots don't want to pay to advertise on my blogs!
    Hahahahhahahahaha....

You can always test it and let us know if it worked or not. But I really think it should work, building links is necesarry and building links on recent, decent pages should help

i don;t mind rank second after wiki
yah add more link and create more content+ EMD, it does help on serp

  6. Wikipedia is usually not a competitor, so even if Wikipedia does rank above my site then I usually just overlook it. I mean, they can't buy anything on wikipedia, and people know what it is...so they quite often just view it once, then go on to the other pages that rank well. Besides, I've had pretty good success linking out to the wikipedia page, it tends to help rankings.

I wonder if getting a backlink from Wikipedia would help. Here's my thinking...I know that Wikipedia is all "No follow," but I don't really believe in the whole no follow stuff. Sure, it might not pass link juice, but it's still a link. And the bot still knows that it's a link to that site even if says no follow. So, I wonder if by having that link, you are getting the authority even if you're not getting the link juice. Because, truth be told, I've seen sites rank for keywords with ONLY no follow links (it was an experiment done a few years ago), so the whole "no follow" thing is a bit...I don't know...Useless?

From my own personal experience, I've seen some pages get major ranking boosts as a result of links or citations from Wikipedia.

In my opinion it will not help as backlink because they are no-follow but it will add trust from search engine views.
