Thread: Reciprocal Link Building

Wouldn't a 3 way link exchange be better off, if each site is on a different IP?

This little script phpjunkyard.com/php-link-manager.php can automate the reciprocal linking for you.

They have a free version (which i use on my own site) and a paid version if you wanna remove the companys link. The script also checks if a reciprocal link to your site has really been placed. I found it pretty handy.

Another method to get one way links is to contact bloggers searching for free content, Offer guest posts with 2-3 links of your website.

Try this Query in Google : [Your Keyword] Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com -site:ezinearticles.com

Wouldn't that only pull results from ezinearticles.com?? How would that help?

The reciprocal linking is a fast and easy way to get some links. The issue with the reciprocal linking is that it's a matter of the law of diminishing returns. The link quality deteriorates into a link farm rather fast and there is substanial linkrot. The half life of a reciprocal link is probably around 6 months.

I think that the idea is to offer site owners original content with your backlinks to replace the duplicate content they have from EZA.

Yes, It will pull results from websites/blogs using Ezine content on their websites.

You can offer them original content to publish instead of duplicate content.

Not really when you are talking about the offers that you receceive via email. Most of the offers are for a 3-way where you give them a quality link and they give you a link from a low quality directory.

A reciprocal links quality really depends on how many outbound links are on the page and how many resource pages the site has. In case where there are only a few outbound links, you can actually get some referral traffic.

    Are you sure you're including

    Code:
    -site:ezinearticles.com
at the end of your query?

I'm in no way an affiliate or promoting the script mentioned above, but it also lets you set a minimum PR to accept website. That could improve the quality and stop your reciprocal link site from being a farm.
