It looks like Google recently went after the SAPE link network. I am not familiar with that one.

I've just noticed a Panda recovery on my sites that had a -950 penalty. It seems that the issue was too many links from the same IP. The links weren't from a blog network and less than ten sites. So, it was more of a cumulative effect that caused the issue.

SAPE is a Russian link network and the links are purchased on monthly subscription. The SAPE site is in Russian which makes it difficult to navigate and payment is through WebMoney or bank transfers. This was a barrier to entry but now there's a ton of middleman offering link packages. Anything that is over exploited becomes a target.

Other places offering these kind of links are:
    setlinks.ru
    linkfeed.ru
    mainlink.ru

I think someone would have to be out of their mind to use a Russian link building network.

Maybe the Russian link network problem maybe more to do with using bot nets to create the links rather than anything related to difficulty in navigating the payment gateway LOL?
