Signature links

Hey all

I have a question - do you think forum signature links provide the same PR juice as any other link or not? Google understands whether the website is a forum or just a simple website and a sig link might not give such good PR juice. What do you think?

I think it's usefull, maybe less than normal hardlink, but my friends added one link to his signature in one well known forum and after next PR he got PR2

so why not to use free backlink if you can.

I use free backlinks on various forums in my signature and has helped me to get a good traffic on my site as well. I hope you may take the permission of the administrator as some allow and some don't. If you don't take permission you will be banned on that forum.

Forum signature links is useful to get good PR and and bring visitors to websites. Especially signature links on high PR forum such as dnforum, DP forum etc.

it depends on how mush links are placed in forum, if there are few external links it is useful, if there are tons of links then its useless.
sometimes i also using it as a free backlink

Some web forums use nofollow and some dofollow it's best to check in firefox or IE (if anyone still uses it any more) with view page or source, if you find a really good forum like adobe some pages on the forum will have a high PR and dofollow, to google they see your link as only a link and nothing more.

I have used backlinks few times on some forums and for me it worked completely. Even, it helped me either ways to get a good traffic. But, be aware of the norms of the forum, when you carry free backlink.
