  1. Don't just focus on one of anything, that looks unnatural to Google's algorithms.

    Article submission is easier, but you can only do so much of it. Guest blogging is more work, but it can take you a lot further.

    do everything...u cant succeed doing any one thing...SEO should be 360 degree work..not any one individual method

    If you want to propagate your articles then I would suggest you to also use free blogs..create 15-20 free blog accounts and put your articles there as well..don't stick to article directories only..

    Use promotional coupons like Signs coupon codes to shop with discount.

    Like Will says do a bit of everything to have a bunch of mixed up links.
    Recently I'm ordering Bookmarking submissions, directory submissions, article submissions, blog posts, forum profiles, blog comments, video links, web 2.0 profiles and a few other things

    Guest blogging
    Press release
    Blog commenting related to your niche .
