Thread: What should we do for link exchange?

I want to do link exchange so what do i do for better link exchange? I have sent many of requests to webmasters but no response. Please give me good reply.

How about asking for link exchange on popular webmaster forums?

Create a WTB thread on NetBuilders, DP and several other webmaster related forums.

BTW, if you don't mind me asking, what niche is your website in?

Another consideration is the quality of the page that you are offering a backlink from.

A 5% conversion ratio is not bad.

The general ratio is close to 2% resulting in one having to send 1000s of emails to get 10 links.

I prefer not sending email solicitations, but rather negotiating directly over the phone.

Most webmasters are ignoring the link exchange emails. There's just no way that they can deal with the hundreds of emails that they receive daily. Most of the requests are coming link monkeys offering a poor quality/useless three way link.

In any case, link exchanges are of limited value and excessive link exchanges can get you banned.

Before the Jagger 1-2-3 updates in October 2005, I was getting a 20% response rate.

I think that it's best to deal one-on-one a get a few quality exchanges than to do a mass link exchange campaign.

keep work in following lines.

1. Find a good active email list of webmasters.

2. Your website must have above 2 page rank.

3. Only link exchange with themes based sites like games to games site.
