Question Yahoo takes time to index sites?

In my experience with Yahoo, I have submitted one of my sites to it but they indexed it very slow. My site only got indexed after 6 months. Do you know why?

It rarely happens. I think its impossible. Because generally the site will be indexed within 48 hours if you have submitted it correctly. Also, there are various auto submitter sites and software. I would like to request you to submit via one the site that will submit to major search engine.

It seems to be the consensus on a DigitalPoint Forums thread that if you post your URL to Yahoo! Answers, Yahoo will indexed your site a lot quicker than you'd normally expect.
That's not to say that you should spam your site URL throughout Yahoo! Answers, but if your website is related to a question being asked and can help someone find the answers, then it may be useful.

6 months is a huge time period. I know yahoo is a bit slow but by no means it takes 6 moths for indexing a site submitted to it. There might have been a mistake on your part.

Well, I think it's a mistake on my part. Maybe because I have used a free domain or a sub domain from a free hosting site. But my blog now is already indexed on Yahoo. So no problems now.

Yeah. You are right. Most webmasters focuses on getting indexed and ranked in Google other than other search engines. I can say when it comes to search engines, Google is still the best one. I can easily find what I am looking for there.
