Newer websites need to be developed and have decent web rankings. DMOZ is also human edited, so they can also check out on stability, reliability and if your purpose in submission is for the listing or the PR juice. Its much harder for a 3 day website to be listed than a 3 year website, as a general rule, but content is still king when it comes to listings.

Unfortunately, most of the DMOZ editor are busy and the rest who are "free" mostly are those editor that require some fee to go through your website

That's true. Like on DigitalPoint, they ask for a personal fee to gain money.

Again, nothing is free, nobody are going to work for free. Sad to say everything is money related, especially work

I submitted my forum for consideration several times over the years, but it has not been added. The set back is of little concern to me, though, since it is a service being freely given me.

Those of you who say your sites have been rejected, how do you know? They don't notify you if you are accepted or rejected

My problem is getting an editor to look at my suggestion. All the editors are flooded with so much spam (and websites which have no quality) that it takes years to get listings reviewed.
