Thread: New Quality Proxy List - No backlink required! | ProxyLister.org

Hey,

I've been putting a new web proxy listing website together for a few weeks now and it's finally reached a stage where I can release it to the public. http://proxylister.org/

Since it's a brand new site we are lacking in both listed proxies and visitors. I personally don't like backlinks and nobody is going to want to backlink to a site with no traffic, so for a limited time (probably around a month or two) we are allowing submission without a backlink.

In future when we have enough traffic and listed proxies to warrant it we will require a backlink and gradually remove all non backlinked proxies. A premium listing will also be introduced, probably around this time.

Of course, why should you list your proxies on a site that gets no traffic? We will be utilising paid advertising services to drive quality English speaking traffic to our site including Google Adwords.

I'd also like some feedback on the website itself. Please make any comments about what you think I could do to improve the website and maybe suggest any advertising routes I could go down to get more traffic to the site .

Remember, NO BACKLINK REQUIRED, so I will be manually approving all submitted proxies to counter spam and low quality sites. Please avoid submitting lots of "old" proxies on the same IP address (maybe 5 - 10 maximum) as this isn't really beneficial to anyone. Of course you can submit plenty of your fresh new proxies but please be aware that we will only accept ones that we feel meet a top quality standard.

Can you tell us yet what backlink you will want when you DO require one? I wouldn't mind putting one on so my proxies don't get removed when a backlink is needed, save me doing it later

Sorry if anybody tried submitting over the past few days and got a captcha error! I fixed one thing but fixing that broke submission and I didn't realise.

You are guaranteed some traffic as I'm using [i]paid[i] advertisements to get real proxy users to the proxy list. Still no backlink needed.

For anyone that’s interested, I’ve made some improvements to the site.

Some larger speed improvements, so it should load pretty quickly and be responsive to browse around with a few more minor speed improvements to come.

I have implemented a new feature, which categorises all listed proxies by their country and can be found here Proxies by Country | Proxy Lister Additionally, US proxies can also be found categorised by state here US Proxies by State | Proxy Lister

Future updates to come:

1) Minor speed improvements and a little more caching of some things.

2) SEO improvements.

3) A page listing just the SSL proxies.

4) More pages (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) on the new proxies and popular proxies pages so that the you can browse through the first 100 in that particular list.

5) More statistics on the popular proxies page which allows viewing the total hits to each proxy yesterday, the past 7 days and the past 30 days as well as all time. The default when visiting the page will probably be the past 7 days.

As always, I’m open to suggestions for improvement and features. Please keep submitting your proxies (still without a backlink requirement yet). It will probably stay without a backlink requirement until September!

All of these updates are now complete and I also have a logo . There is currently 260 proxies listed and each gets around 4.3 hits per day on average.

Now I just have to complete the backend for requiring backlinks and payment processing for premium listings along with any other features I think of or get suggested. Backlink enforcing will not happen until around September and will be introduced gradually so there isn't suddenly hardly any listed proxies. Premium listings will not be available until there is several times more traffic than there currently is and search engine ranking improve.
