Thank you for creating hot fresh new proxies for Tech-FAQ's site visitors! :)
Any .cn proxies with Chinese traffic blocked? :D
Damn.. Will, Please block .cn...
It's impossible to PROMOTE your site via Tech-Faq...
I mean.. everytime I submit my web proxy, 10 new .cn's are submitted so my promotion means nothing with Tech-Faq...
Why don't you add limit from 1 proxy per day per user?
And that you need to approve the accounts...

Give it a couple days all the massive cn submissions should be over. Since in DEC they were selling for .25 so people waited for vacations to submit them all. Though a way to limit the amount submitted per user would be nice its next to impossible. As the user can use proxies to submit and and change email. Allowing only so many from one server IP would be nice but places like fdcservers give out ips so each site could have its own IP. Blocking by nameservers would block a lot more then that user. Could use the adsense pub # to make so only 5 can be added a day. Then again they may figure that out and add adsense after the submission.
I would like to know what a good way would be to limit the amount one user could submit per day would be. As I would like to add this to my site.
I know if became too much of a hassle I would just block them all together as hand approving is too tedious and not worth the effort.
I just had to do that, because those aren't real proxies.
I'll unblock .cn again when Mr.Bill is ready to submit his new .cn proxies.
Yep, they are already doing that.
We do that too. :)
Yep, that are already doing that. I've banned any site submitted which contains their AdSense ID's.
My next steps are member accounts for approved submitters -- with email verification and charging a $1 submission fee.
Well.. I see new .cn's though...
And just when I submitted Study French, English online!, it was submitted after my reply.. and only 10 seconds or something after that.. there were .cn's already :(
And fees... dang, but yeah maybe it will pay off :D
Verified members or members who submit a lot will have to pay less right? xD

Somehow this seems like a good idea if it could be done using a signup redirect with javascript that would break the url if they tried using a web proxy to create multiple accounts. I like the free idea but the resources being put into script modifications I can understand the fee.Quote:

Though I mentioned this once might not have been clear though. I think you could make a good chunk of change if you could figure out a way for a fee of course of say $1 for a user to have his url purged from the system so he can resubmit it this way he is paying to be listed on the page again. Then again this may not be worth the hassle either.
As I mentioned on DP the other day this is a better service then proxy 0rg because he is claiming 12 visitors a day on the free listing x 30=360 for the month doesn't equal what you get the first day listed tech-faq (I've seen 500-600). Plus I still think proxy 0rgs stats are inflated because of all the non proxy sites in the list making people click more making the stats look better.
I will PM when mine are set up was waiting for the rush to end.
Will not sure if I was suppose to pm them or not here are 5 of them
