Will mentioned before he has been tracking down the people abusing .co.cc domains and banning them. But them simply submiting a lot of proxy sites to his proxy list is not an issue. That's what it's there for.

I submited a proxy the other day and got around 800 hits from it. That's the same amount I used to get during the summer months without any .co.cc. Tech-FAQ shouldn't be a make it or break it aspect of your marketing, but just another way to complement it.

I submited a proxy the other day and got around 800 hits from it.

I dumped yesterday's results into Open Office Spreadsheet.

From the 68 proxy sites submitted yesterday, the average number of visitors sent was 899.46. That's about 10% less than my minimum target.

I don't feel that the RSS, email, and Twitter feeds are making up for that 10% yet.

It looks like I still need to do more promotion.

Possible but some people aren't so lucky, right now, on page 3 there are 5 proxies, from the same guy i think, with only 311 - 378 hits. Too much competition.

I think Will can ban those people quite easy, so expect them to be gone . There are alot of different methods you can check for when banning a site besides IP addresses. Specailly their paypal, you could simple refuse payments from their account. Then they wouldn't beable to buy the listing.

i was also against co.cc but now i think in this world, here are lot of works to do instead of complaining others.

if you dont like then dont submit your site to tech-faq. or start copiiing spammers and give more challenge to spammer.

i am sure that all is newbie and they never taste such a good money. they got this idea from somewhere and then start this.
i am sure that they are not making more then 10-15$ a day but may be this is good amount for them.


And about tech-faq....... as will sir already mention that this is for users not for money or not for webmaster. its okay that he got some bucks from it to manage such a good resource.

Ughhh... that's not allowed.

He's not even redirecting to his own proxies -- he's picking random proxies from proxy.org.

I've blocked this fellows AdSense ID from submitting any more proxies. I'll send him a grumpy email explaining that this is not allowed.
