Paid submissions aren't a long term regardless. And the nice thing about a free market is the market regulates its self. The submissions only continue when there's a profit being made. When a profit is no longer being made the submissions stop.

The difference is this guy found a way to make profit with the amount of submissions being sent in today. Can't blame him. If you can make a return why not keep it up, and even start submitting more?

Costs the same but how i said if 2-3 people or more will submit over 20-30 per day the value of the submission will decrease for everyone. At least from this point of view the paid listing will have no justification in long term and as long we will receive the same amount of traffic as before because one guy or a group of people take control of the list, the co.cc domains, the main source of spam are allowed and 50 proxies from the same IP are submitted daily, an IP maybe blocked etc. What the user earns if the IP is blocked already and he is submitting 30 blocked proxies daily?

This is the law of the jungle, 5 -10 proxies are enough per day from one user, the majority is not submitting more, i guess.

I believe that some continue buying it by following the "crowd". Say one person buys some advertising spot and it makes no ROI. But meanwhile some other person sees that and thinks "hey it must be good if their paying". So the following time later they buy it, then next comes another person comes along thinks the same thing. Meanwhile the person who bought first thinks why is there still people buying this? So the think maby they did something wrong with the ad placement or whatever and buy it again. It never ends. Meanwhile nobody is making any money. LOL

It does seem sort of silly to assume that all of those people are losing money and that they continue the same money-losing behavior week after week.

Seen this said many times. However these people have a business plan that works for them yes they only paid 10.00 for 100 co.cc domains but its good business for them to increase the profit margin by spending less on throw away domain names.

Now to do what I find insane in the US president is having all tires bought in the US that cam from China will have a higher tax rate then those that were made in the US.

So instead of saying block or ban the co.cc domains maybe say hit them with a slightly higher submission fee. Even so the submissions of them would not slow as they are making money on it and users are getting used to proxies having a wide variety of extensions.

I only presently changed my site to accept them as someone explained it was poor business sense not to accept them. In the end the users want working proxies so if a co.cc works for what they need then everyone made out the user and the owners.

Enough of my dribble just my run on thoughts of the topic.

We're not talking about the game mate, we're talking about being the only one having a kingdom of stuff. Google doesn't have a monopoly because there is also BingDing and Yahoo.

Twitter has kind of a monopoly though, except for a few clones but there isn't a site that's the same like Twitter
