It's actually an odd bit of logic that had to be coded.

    I was getting people submitting:
    • example.com
    • www.example.com
    • www1.example.com
    • proxy.example.com
    • etc...

They were promoting the same tired old proxies again and again...

I wanted to limit submissions to one listing per domain.

But, we hit a snag with domains like example.co.uk and example.co.nz. I didn't want to limit submissions to only one proxy from the UK and one from New Zealand.

So, we added a capability to the script to store a list of acceptable second level domains. This solves both problems.

I've added cz.cc to the list of valid second level domains.

So some of the free sub domains like: ok.pe, za.org, za.net, eu.org will also be added?

I guess so, as long as they are public subdomains which are actually used by real people.

i.e. no registering your own domain and setting up a million subdomains.

I'm trying to register a cz.cc domain it doesn't go threw. Its like their registration system is bungled. I also forgot my password on co.cc and they want me to fill in my DOB and other details to get it back. Unfortunaty for myself I put fake details for DOB and can't remember. LOL. Now I'm going to make a duplicate account. I tried ok.pe and the domain is not resolved.. I also had go threw that site in the dark becuase its written in another language and just guess my way threw. (which I did finally get the domain and nameserver set.).

After an hour of this... No luck. They might be free but there a pain the ass.

Have you tried .co.cc already? It's easier and for a small amount of money you can register another 100 domains

My ok.pe domain is resolving now. I guess it takes 24 hours.
Yeah I do have a co.cc account but forget the password.
I wonder if cz.cc is fixed yet.

I'd rather buy 10 .info domains with that 10$ instead.

Just clear your cookies and sign up for another account w/4 more co.cc's. Takes some more time though.

At which Registrar are you purchasing them for them $1 each? Namecheap is $2.98. I am only able to acquire 3 .info for approx; $10. I would like to know where you can acquire them for $1. That would be a great bargain to be had.

On a side note , there are plenty of other avenues to get free domains. Like www.dyndns.org and www.no-ip.com and www.afraid.org . You can point the domain to a CNAME of one of your domains. Then just park the domain on your account. It will load your proxy site.

GoDaddy has .info domains for $0.79 + $0.18(icann fee) = $0.97 (1st year only) each if you buy them in lots of 6 or more.

I prefer NameCheap though cause it has less horror stories, it's interface it's better, and for that extra $2 you get free SSL and WHOISGuard.
