Just wondering if it would be possible to make a bookmark like tunyurl.

Many thanks for the script. I searched some time till I found one were the tag can optionally be predefined.

If there will ever be a next version I would suggest some additional features:

• config.php: I would add a dummy config which should be manually filled with the correct values. Or at least it should be mentioned that inc/config.php must be writable by the webserver. (By the way: There is an empty/not used config.php in the main folder. I set this writeable and did not get that I should set inc/config.php writeable.)
• table prefixes would be cool if one wants to install it on top of another application an wants to use the same database
• configurable redirect url (instead of fixed /u/).

I'm half drunk right now, so I'll address more if I can later.:p But the /u/ can be changed in .htaccess to whatever, then just change in index to reflect the changes. I myself use /go/

I think you should change the /u/ to something more unique something like /if-this-url-was-any-shorter-then-you-wouldnt-be-able-to-see-it-without-some-bi-focal-glasses/ :)

how to remove u/ so the result will be domainname.com/tag, not domainname.com/u/tag ??

I would like to no weather it is possible to remove the /u when you create a shortend url... or how to change from u to something else?!?!
