Google to Launch a New Version of Google Search

Not to be outdone by Yahoo!/Bing merger, Google is set to release its new version of search engine:

Seems to be good... Lets see how does it works...
But Google will remain the king even if Bing and Yahoo do anything.

  3. I'm staring at Google and the results are looking very similar.

The only difference I'm seeing so far is that I no longer see Google Image results in an "emoticons" search.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

    I second you.
Google is way too innovative with its search algorithms. Even a merged budget for search engine of Yahoo and Microsoft combined will do no good to challenge Google's dominance.

    A second announcement:

Google provides peek into new search engine - Yahoo! Finance

"The new engine, available at a separate address, looks the same as the current one but ranks results differently, which could affect businesses who rely on Google results to drive traffic." Caffeine preview: http://www2.sandbox.google.com

I checked it out this morning, and it's nothing spectacular. One of my main money-making sites is down 2 places, so it sucks. Hah.

The only test I've made is awesome for me!
One of the toughest keywords I've been fighting for over the last months jumped from #8 to #3... let's hope it stays that way.

Glad they only change their results, their homepage is far too good. It's simple and effective -- the only thing we all want from a search engine

Let's hope the new search brings in good results for our websites

The project is still in testing phase; hopefully the final version offers some difference.
One of my sites has changes positions quite dramatically when compared between the two...

It looks like a lot of weight was removed from exact match domains. For example unblock myspace no longer shows unblockmyspace.com at #1. There's a half dozen other examples of my own domains that I looked at.
