Google is Pushing SSL Encryption for ALL Websites
Just when you think that Google may be settling down and getting out of their insanity mode, now they are pushing SSL encryption for all websites and have declared it a ranking factor.

Here is their video on the topic. These eggheads want to see all communications secured with 2048 bit military grade encryption.
It looks like a fix for a problem that doesn't really exist. This is not always easy to implement on sites not designed to use SSL.
