Chrome is tracking everything you do on the web and reporting it to Google. Some people think it may be another form of GoogleBot.

Chrome is probably not doing anything except when you are using it to surf the web, so I don't think you have to delete it. I only use it for testing sites and when using Google properties, such as Analytics or AdWords. Google properties run faster in Chrome.
