PR in the toolbar is from the outdated algorithm and not entirely useful. Internal PR is what really matters and Google doesn't show us that.

Is it necessary that people need to rely on Google for PR or +1?

People are smart enough to know what to do and I guess Google has no right to intend to decide for us what to do or what to buy.

We will have to see how good "+1" turns out to be. It may be that they are trying to use the raw feed in a similar way that Likes/Tweet feed is used as a ranking factor. Microsoft has an alliance with FB. But bothe Google/Bing has access to the raw twitter feed.

How could have that happen
