A SEO company raises $2.5M in Financing

ClickFuel Inc., a Boston-based provider of Internet marketing services to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), announced today it has raised $2.5 million in a Series A financing, led by Baird Venture Partners.

This was interesting so I did some research and found out the company was founded in 2008, has 15 employees and about 50 or 100 clients who pay $1500-2500 per month for seo and web development services. Can't find the link to where I've discovered that now, but it's strange that a new seo services company would get significant financing, also since client fees usually cover the required expansion needs.

    What do you think?

Yep... that might be the reason why they actually need the extra funds

The investment by Baird Venture Partners will help ClickFuel further expand its sales and marketing efforts and build upon its technology platform and product line extension.
Most of the $2.5M will be spent on marketing and their targets are local businesses.

This will be interesting if they can develop a repeatable SEO model that shows results every time.
