Price reduced to $20. :)
$25, anyone?
The price has been reduced to $35.
No, it's valid for U.S. and Canada residents, only. :sorry:
I received a nice AdWords Voucher in the mail today. Sign up for a new Google AdWords account, redeem the voucher and get $100 credit. After March 5th, its value drops to $75, and is valid until...
Wow, these are some nice additions. WP never ceases to amaze me...
Evidently, Windows 8 is slated to be released in 2012.
Windows 8 is coming in 2012
Microsoft to switch internal focus to Windows 8...
Doesn't take but a minute or two to implement during the creation of a website. I don't see how it can be that much of a hassle. To each his own, I guess.
According to Shenron (post #4), it can take up to 65 days plus 7 more... which is 72 days.
I hope you get to grab the domain. Be sure to let us know how it goes. :)
It's a freelance career, so you never know how your clientele will fluctuate. In hard economic times, people aren't exactly looking for brand new designs for their websites just for the heck of it.
I don't understand why so many people make such a huge hoopla about the meta description and keywords. Who cares if they are beneficial or not -- just fill them in anyways, in a legitimate and...
No demo or screenshots? Sorry, I don't purchase blindly. ;)
I have a feeling that Google is or will be able to detect spam-like comments (i.e. links to unrelated sites) and perhaps 'ignore' them in a sense. Buying blog commenting packages and such are...
The results using the URL you linked to are no different than when searching through regular google.com. Perhaps I'm naturally hitting the datacenter that is live with Caffeine.
Are there any forum rules or guidelines? A general all-encompassing set? I cannot find one anywhere...
If not, then my question is: Are affiliate links permitted either in posts or signatures?
Daily I visit AdminAddict - Resources for Forum Administrators, my other forums, and some of many other webmaster forums including NB, DP, and formerly WebmasterWidget (before it was bought then...
But can you show us some traffic statistics? I.e. with Google Analytics?
If forums for community/forum administrators count, then don't forget: AdminAddict - Resources for Forum Administrators. :)
Here's another thread discussing this: http://www.netbuilders.org/search-engine-news/website-speed-new-google-ranking-factor-12035.html :)
This isn't news. :p
Is PeerFly any good? They are an advertiser on AdminAddict, and I've considered signing up for their affiliate program... not sure if it's worth it though.
Back on topic....: Yes, I think Net Builders should be updated. Any prime forum who wants to be (or appear to be) top-of-the-line should remain updated to the latest and greatest.
I've been noticing this as well, and so have a handful of members on AdminAddict (Big increase in number of indexed pages - AdminAddict).
Perhaps it does indeed have something to do with Google...
Welcome to Net Builders! :)
Thanks button? :p
Thanks for the help thus far. Luckily, I have nothing to worry about anymore because I contacted my partner and he got the domain renewed.
Now hopefully I can get it transferred to my account so...
So I should start checking there in 60 days?
Forgive me for being so inexperienced in this aspect.
Well I checked here: auctions.godaddy.com - but it's not listed. I'm sure I'm lost.
I guess it also won't appear until after 60 days?
And what's this about TDNAM? tdnam.com redirects to...
I'm not sure I catch what you mean. Is a month sooner than the usual waiting period?
If I e-mail them can I get it sooner or something? This domain is actually that of a business partner; we've...
You could try posting on a forum in the niche that consists of the people you want to attract, put a link to your Twitter page in your signature.
Post interesting Tweets, link to interesting...
Hey guys, I have a quick question: How long after a domain with GoDaddy expires, will it become available for the public to purchase? When I visit the site, it says "NOTICE: This domain name expired...
Since the site you mentioned has 301-redirected the root (amung.us) to the sub-domain (whos.amung.us), then the root gets the same PR as the sub-domain it's redirected to.
I used to use two: GoDaddy and Namecheap. But a few months ago, I migrated all of my GoDaddy domains to Namecheap, so it is now the sole registrar that I use.
Namecheap rules! :p
There is no limit like that. Feel free to create as many accounts as you'd like. :p
Okay, I've been using AdSense for about two years now and I still don't understand the concept. I'm sure I could figure it out if I read and read, but I'm too impatient to do the proper research.
Does anybody use Google Ad Manager? I've read that it allows you to display ads from a variety of networks in a single advertising slot (for example, sometimes AdSense ads will show and other times...
Nice write-up. We have a three-part series on AdminAddict regarding DMCA notices. If you're interested in further reading:

Didn't look close enough. :D
Well a huge thank you goes out to M42 as she gave me her invite code. Also, I requested an invite code on my second GMail account, and I got an invite within a few hours.
I've been playing around...
A friendly atmosphere can't be the driving force, but it certainly can be a driving force -- and a strong one at that.
In my niche, my only competitors are Yahoo Groups and for some reason, those...
I visit several forums daily:
AdminAddict - Resources for Community and Forum Administrators
vBulletin - Instant Community
vBulletin.org Forum - The Official vBulletin Resource!...
Backlinkwatch does come in handy, but I only use it every once in a while.
Naturally, I would have assumed that visit duration and frequency wouldn't include Google's own bots when using Google Analytics, but it's nice to know there is a solution.
Thank you for sharing...
Yes, indeed! It's nice to see NB grow. :)
 I'm on 3.5.2 and I checked for updates but it says there are none.
Hm, good thinking. I never thought of doing this.
Have you experimented with this on and off (perhaps on another website)? If so, what were the results like?
Coincidentally, I've heard a lot about Google Voice lately and I signed up for an invite last night. I hope I get one as quickly as you do. I wonder what factors determine one's eligibility...
Well, after seeing a comment posted on the Add-On's page, I discovered that if you download Snap Links from their website -- mozdev.org - snaplinks: index -- you get a version that is compatible with...
What about your fake eyes? :D :p
Mine is a unique word I developed by throwing random letters together. Took me ages to come up with.
Not getting into specifics, I really like it in general. It's very well supported, it's amazing and as you said, flexible as well as clean. They have done a great job with it. :)
Oh my gosh, this is amazing! This will make forum-browsing so much easier (especially when using the New Posts function).
I hope it gets updated soon so that I can try it out. :D
Let me know if...
WordPress never fails to impress me. It is no-doubt one of my top favorite scripts.
Alexa statistics are highly skewed and therefore inaccurate.
DMOZ isn't worth much these days (from what I read and hear), but to be fair, most of the submissions aren't processed because either 1) it isn't done properly, 2) a single site is...
There is an introduction thread here: http://www.netbuilders.org/general-chat/introduction-thread-who-you-why-you-here-1.html
In my experience, the title is very important. Each page title should be accurate and highly unique.
Me too. I've never had crawling or indexing problems, whatsoever.
Google doesn't let you submit the same sitemap twice in the Webmaster Tools console.
And yes it is common, because it's what you need to do. If somebody were to submit a sitemap and their site...
This indeed does work very well. It has provided excellent results on one of my forums and one of my blogs, and it never, ever shows an irrelevant ad anymore.
Erm, Will - you may want to ensure that you have the thumbnail generation for the PDF extension disabled. :)
Thanks for increasing the attachment limit, Will. Attached is the table of contents from the eBook.
Until I try it for myself, I don't know. Although highly doubtful, he may not have set it up properly. ;)
It was an 8MB PDF file. I suppose your current limit is reasonable. 8MB isn't exactly the smallest file in the world. :p
This seems very useful. I will definitely try it out.
Hm, interesting. I just found this: Using only %postname%
Anyways, your .htaccess file should be updating automatically. Did you change the permissions to 777, save the permalink changes, then...
Yeah that sounds like what I would do. Perhaps using the "Sticky Post" add-on. :)
I would upload the Table of Contents but the attachment size limit is too restrictive. :(
Ditto. PayPal works wonders for simple things like this. :)
This is pretty much a matter of your personal preference. Personally, I wouldn't create such a page and have it up with the "About", "Contact" and all of those other main pages.
I think I would...
It should be working just fine. As Shenron stated, make sure your .htaccess file is being updated (it must be writable).
This is all very true, but I still feel that some sort of distinction would greatly help viewers.
Anyways, it's not my board. I'm just merely stating my opinion on the matter. :)
Nice avatar. 10/10 I guess because it's personalized. :D
I don't think members would spam the "thanks" just to give somebody else points. If we got ourselves points by giving "thanks" then I could see that happening. :D
The Forum Leaders page is quite ineffective in certain situations. When I'm reading a thread, I tend to pay more attention to posts made by staff members, and sometimes skip over some of the others....
I personally like option 1 (personal preference), but I believe option 2 is best in regards to SEO. :)
Nope; I see them just fine.
Just got mine too. :)
Great! I just "signed up"; going to check my e-mail now.
Thanks for posting this. :)
All of mine have been updated or were already compatible, except for one or two.
It's just the styles that I'm waiting for to be updated; but those aren't as important. :)
If you are worried about implementing distinction, perhaps you could go with something very minor such as merely italicizing the usernames of staff members - moderators, super moderators and...

Custom skin to go with the license
I just signed up. :)
Why would it be impossible? vBCredits (which I assume is what you are using) is extremely flexible, has a ton of functionality, and certainly has a recalculate tool. :)
I agree that there should be some identifying markup. Currently, I would have no clue that you are an Administrator, Shenron and I think it's important to know who is who while browsing threads.
Submit a sitemap in your Google Webmaster Tools console and then work on getting some backlinks.
60% from search engines
20% from referring sites
17% direct visitors (bookmarked, manual URL entry, etc.)
Of the search engines:
81% from Google
9% from Yahoo
3% from AOL
2% from Bing
Good point; I didn't realize that!
Symantec Endpoint has worked superbly for me. Work issued copies for us to use a few months ago and I have loved it ever since.
The popup when I first arrive on the site is a huge turn-off.
Other than that, the design is nice and simple.
The header is a bit odd, as it goes from realistic (on the left) to a cartoon...
Nice theme for sure. :)
I also like your AdSense placement, as somebody else mentioned.
And as Aquarezz stated, the "Blog" tagline sticks out like a sore thumb and just seems odd. I'd consider...
Hehe, I came here to post about the kBank button but now I see you've got it under control. :D
I contacted you about vBadvanced Dynamics on Webmaster Widget. :)
I like it but I think it's too "playful" and "fun" for a site like this... if that makes any sense.
I'm OCD and a spelling nazi, so of course I correct my typos.
I only type an average of 90 words per minute with a matching accuracy rate of 90%. I hate to break the flow so I spellcheck when I'm...
The Terms of Service states that you must be 18 years or older to be eligible for participation in the program, but I've seen minor webmasters (under the age of 18) successfully maintain AdSense ads...
I'm enjoying the update. Not anything to die for, but still nice. :)
Hello everybody; new dude here.
Just stopping in to say hi! :)
