You have to get rid of the lines where the "About us" text is and make the "Special Offers" more visible so that when you open the site the offers catches your eye.

The logo is important of course, but i agree with HelenaA the content is the most imporant thing.

Depends on the theme of the site, but try useing soft colours, relaxing for eyes.

I use Dreamweaver and i'm very pleased with it, i think it's a very complex program and you cand find lots of tutorials and help on the internet.
