I've personally been creating websites for almost two years now. My first forum was in September 2008.
I personally prefer Wordpress. There's just more freedom in what you can do with it, not to mention the amount of plugins.

It's been said that the average amount of required sleep is 8 hours daily. I personally get around 7-9 hours per night, but will probably get more now since it's summer.

I like your forum. The banner and skin are pretty good, and match well with eachother. Only thing I would change is the colour scheme. There's too much blue, and blue doesn't seem to represent pets....
