How to remove spam links from sites?

Huh? Why would you care if the spam links are not on your site? If they are on your site, simply remove them.

In forums, the moderators remove spam links when we find them.

    Leave them alone.
And again, this is like a bot question that is asked on every damn forum and has been asked for a few years now!

Over 95% of all comments submitted to WordPress sites are spam.

No, they do not really love what you did with your site.

No, they don't think your article is wonderful.

No, they don't really want to know which theme you are using.

No, they are not really adding your site to their RSS feed.

Yes, they do want to add a link to a crappy site in the comment.

Just disable comments in your WP blog.
So much easier to live with than using akismet or other spam plugins.

I have comments turned off for most of my sites and the Chinese hackers still manage to slip them in.

On my main tech site, Akismet has trapped over 600,000 spam comments thus far, even though I have most of the Chinese college cities blocked in my firewall.

On my blog, the Chinese can not see or get in.
Messes up Baidu, that still wants to grab pages that do not exist.
    Best plugin ever!
    Click China, and bam!
No chinese visitors can see my blog.
And after a couple of months, notice that finally the numbers from China are dropping down quite a bit.

If you want to eliminate comment spam, block the entire country of China. Regardless of the way the comments appear, if you check the IP addresses, they almost all originate in China.
