Deccan Radio is South India’s 24/7 Internet Radio, broadcasting in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages based on listeners’ requests.
Deccan Radio is on a major lookout for horde of Deccan Radio Jockeys from all across the globe with (South) Indian accent. So if you want to become the Voice of Internet Radio and can Speak Nonsense - Sensibly here’s your opportunity! Don’t miss this.
Send in your resume along with a 3 minute MP3 with your own voice speaking about anything under the sun you like in English to or reply to this thread.
Fluency in any other South Indian language is a added bonus.
We are also looking for Business Development Associates to work with us.
EDIT : This is a paid position but we are looking for people who are truly passionate about music instead of those who are looking this as a primary job. Thanks.
Yes, this is a paid job but please don't keep any huge expectations. We can work it out to mutual benefits. Please send in your resume
@thoran, please send in your resume along with a 3 minute audio clip to
What's the pay like?
More than $100,000/mo?
I'm fluent in tamil/english and have been interviewed in all the major chennai-based radio stations.
Heck, most of the RJs there think i'd make a great RJ - too bad the stations couldn't afford me
You may want to take off any 3 characters in that number there
Frankly, we are not one of those big media houses with commercial motives primarily. We are looking for those part timers with passion for music & who want to get their talents recognized and not those guys who expect big pays for quitting their full time job for this. This would still be a paid position but may not be right from month 1 of your joining. We need to check your talent first and you would surely be paid based on your talent and the success of the show. We can surely work it out. Just drop in a mail with your resume along with a 3 minute audio clip to .
Just wanted to update you people that Deccan Radio has grown ~300% times from what it was 30 days ago.
EDIT: Just found that i forgot to subscribe to this thread and hence the delay in reply. Sorry for that. Now its subscribed So you can expect quicker replies.
