though it's in India, site is ranking well in UK... with only few UK backlinks - I think main factor here is UK hosting..
should i move ?
Submit Your Webmaster Related Sites to the NB Directory
I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
It is a good idea of moving your sever, it think it is also a backlink issue lack of backlink can also not to rank well.
You are talking about Geo Targeting. Google Webmaster Central removes all doubt:
and,If no information is entered in Webmaster Tools, we'll continue to make geographic associations largely based on the top-level domain (e.g. .co.uk or .ca) and the IP address of the webserver from which the context was served.
If an international domain (.com, .org, .eu, etc) has been used, we'll rely on the IP address.
Apparently, the .asia extension is not geotargeted.
Working with multi-regional and multilingual websites. (look for John Mu's answer about the .asia gTLD)
edit: this from a geotarget perspective, not for general SEO as Bogart correctly points out in the next post.
