There's another possibility that Russia and North Korea are blowing smoke to cover Iran.

North Korea is working with Iran in missile development and they had built a Secret Nuclear Reactor in Syria (until the Israeli's blew it up).

Russia has signed a security agreement with Iran to build a 500,000 man internal security force and arm it.

Last night we watched the re-make of the movie Red Dawn. In the original movie with Patrick Swayze, the USA was invaded by Russia. In the new version, we are invaded by the Chinese. Seems appropriate.

It certainly appears that all the bad guys in the world are trying to distract us and drain our resources. The only part of this that fits the One World Order scheme is that the USA has to collapse in order for the plan to succeed.

According to Donald Trump, South Korea hasn't payed us anything for defending their country since the 1950s. They also want to build up their own military, but we keep dissuading them. Let them build up their own military so we can pull out.

All that any of you would need to do is spend a day or two in South Korea to realize that we should not be defending these people. The South Koreans view us not as their saviors and defenders, but as occupiers and a part of the problem. And they could be correct.

I have always said, what in the world are we doing keeping men and equipment in that country.
We should pull out, we should have pulled out way back when.

And so many of the south koreans are leftists anyways.

So let the north and south fight it out without us and let the winner take all.

Of course, no more cars, computers, tvs from the south.

Make Japan and China happy then.

Doubt Japan would be especially happy as that'd put N Korean missiles immediately across the from them, more than halving the distance Kim Jong Whichever has to make a rocket function in order to hit them.

We have over 28,000 troops in South Korea. A couple of well-placed nukes will wipe out a whole lot of our military guys and gals.

There isn't any reason why Japan cannot build up their own military and missile defense systems. I do like the Japanese people, but we are no longer in a position to defend over 100 countries around the world at our expense.

We are also paying 75% of the bill for NATO. We cannot keep doing that, either.

No argument there. Time for the other kids to carry their own weight defense-wise.

IMO the US should push Japan to exapnd their Navy to 3 aircraft carriers. This would allow the US to cut at least 2 carrier groups of the 10 we have now. In addition to deploying 1-2 in their home waters, they could deploy at least 1 to the Persian Gulf in a joint task force with the US.

NATO is getting a free ride. Better to downsize the U.S. Navy in the the Mediterranean Sea. At this point Spain, Italy, France and the UK should take over the duty. The US Sixth Fleet consists of up to 40 ships, 175 aircraft and 21,000 people.

This is how it was in Europe during the 1980s. European College students hated NATO and at the same time we protected them from the Soviet Union.

"Pork Chop Hill" sums it up: "Why did they pick Pork Chop to attack?" "The value is that it has no value."

Damn good picture, Pork Chop Hill.

My dad and his generation could tell some gruesome stories about Korea.
And how they were pissed that we were there not to win.
    Same with Vietnam.

And the politicians fulfilled those goals.

Viet Nam had their equivalent of Pork Chop Hill. It was known as Hamburger Hill. Lots of guys died for nothing.
