This is a stereotype, keep in mind that we fought for centuries on our lands, you just need to take a look at our history.

As far as the last French defeats, you can again take a look at the history before the war, in all most any cases the socialists disarmed the country, then declared the war. The ones who left the first the country to save their asses were politicians, and the high military ranks. When Germany invaded France, they had almost nothing to fight with. I remember my grand father telling me that after one month of fight the French gov didn't provided enough bullets, he was ordered with his combat buddies to put on the bayonnettes.

Iit is not a question of courage, it is about the socialist gov at this time and perhaps the ones before who disarmed the nation, but making fun of the people is pretty simplistic.

Same thing today, if I was making fun of the American people losing their 2nd Amendment, when I know that the congress are doing everything to trash it while the people do not agree, same principal.

The French need to revive the partisan movement that they used against the Nazis in WWII. After all, their country is becoming occupied by an increasingly hostile force.
    I couldn't say it better

It still makes no sense to me. Germans I understand, they felt guilty because of the holocaust and hoped allowing mass immigration would somehow fix their image. But France didn't have any past like that.

Well we have a past like that, All the North African countries like Algeria, Maroc and Tunisia were French colonies. Some rejected the French and some were for the French. The ones who wanted their independance provoked "wars". The guilt feeling come from there.

Honestly, the penetration of Islam is not only in France but in the whole Europe.

True, especially with the European Union. Once allowed into one country, allowed in all of them.

You have to pay attention to your country too.

It's all about the interpretation of "religious freedom".

It is not just France that has a problem with Islamic immigrants. We frequently see Islamic protests in London and their message is vicious and threatening. A British friend of mine who is also a bobby says that London is plagued by roving mobs of Muslims who are mugging and robbing everyone. That is primary reason for the huge spike in violent crime in the UK as well as the reason that most bobbies now carry firearms. He talked about 400,000 illegal immigrants in England, which is about the same number as we have here in Arizona.

The primary reason why Turkey has not been allowed to join the EU is not because of Turkey itself (there already are a lot of Turks in Holland and a few other countries), but because it would be a gateway to flood the rest of Europe with more jihadists. Once a country is part of the EU, there is an open border policy that allows people in member countries to easily migrate to any other country in the EU. It is the equivalent of moving to another state in the USA.

Of course, just as would be expected, Obummer just sent John Kerry over to help expedite Turkey's membership in the EU. Shanghai Blues, the European Union and John Kerry’s Turkey Visit | Brookings Institution

In my travels in Europe, I've always seen the coffee shops full of Islamic immigrants at all times. I'm guessing that most of these men were unemployed and living on some kind of public assistance. But the standard of living even without a job is a lot better than they would find in places like Egypt or Morroco. The average Egptian lives on less than $2 per day.

I also wonder why the Arab countries have so many foreign workers when they have such high unemployment. In Lybia, there were millions of foreign workers and it seemed that the locals just sat around in the coffee shops. Even in the Gulf states this is still the case. It seems to me that it is part of the culture not to work.

The socialists spent a lot of money to build the Maginot Line. But France actually had more tanks than the Germans and the combined militaries of France/England/Holland Belgium were larger than Germany. The Germans won the war through better organization and command & control. In the case of tank forces, the Germans studied Charles De Gaulle'ss writing Vers l’Armée de Métier about mobile tank warfare and based their ideas of mobile warfare on De Gaulles work. On the other hand, the French rejected De Gaulle and used their tanks for infantry support rather than using them in amored divisions like the German army.

At the start of WW2, the French had 3 armoured divisions against 10 for the Germans. The French also had the 4th Amour Division, but this unit was still being formed. Though the French armour was better, it was poorly deployed. The French rushed two armour divisions into Belgium. When the Fench discovered that the Germans had attacked France through the weakly held Ardennes, they rushed the two divisions back. The French 1st Armour Division was destroyed before the tanks could be offloaded from the trains and the French 2nd Armour divison was destroyed when it ran out of gas. The 3rd French Armor Division was deployed behind the Maginot Line to protect its rear and saw no action. Only the half-strength French 4th Armor was left to defend against the German advance. De Gaulle did manage a counter attack at Sedan and advanced 25km into the German lines. But at this point it was too little, too late.

The same sorry goes for the French Airforce. The French had hundreds of US made P-36 aircraft that still had not be removed from the packing crates. Additionally, the French had large amounts of Bloch MB.210, MS 406 and Dewoitine D.520 fighters. The trouble for France is that they did not have enough pilots and many pilots were reserve and in their 40s. The German pilots were young and would fly 4 missions a day without sleep. The French would fly 1-2 missions aday. This made it appear that the Germans had 4x the aircraft.
