DOJ is blocking any state enforcement immigration laws with a barrage of lawsuits. Even if Arizona re-enacts the law, I'm sure the DOJ will try AZ up in court.

I'd bet that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid 'tables' Senator Ted Cruz's amendment to the immigration bill to permits states to require ID for voter registration.

The Gang of 8 will never agree to that. According to the CBO illegal immigration will only decrease by only 25 percent under the Schumer-Rubio immigration bill.

This is a good case in point that the illegal immigration problem goes beyong the borders. ICE raids ten 7-Eleven stores in New York and four 7-Eleven stores in Virginia on investigation of human smuggling

Fourteen stores were raided Monday and nine individuals -- eight men and one woman -- were indicted on allegations that store owners helped smuggle workers into the U.S. The immigrant workers are believed to be from Pakistan, the Associated Press reports.
The nine were charged with conspiring to commit wire fraud, stealing identities, and concealing and harboring dozens of illegal immigrants, according to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement statement. The workers were equipped with more than 20 identities stolen from U.S. citizens, were housed at properties owned by the store owners and had large portions of their wages stolen by managers, the statement also alleges.

There is another issue with these raids. Every one of the raids performed by Arizona's Sheriff Joe Arpaio's raids has uncovered dozens of Mexican and Guatemalan illegals using stolen social security numbers. That is usually what triggers the raids. Identity theft is not a victimless crime. Yet, because the criminals are almost all Hispanic, a Federal Court recently declared Sheriff Joe guilty of racial profiling. Huh?!

We really do need to take our country back. The solution is not a path to citizenship and more votes for Democrats and more welfare. The solution is to have a viable guest worker program, repeal the 14th Amendment (or interpret it as originally intended), and kick the rest of the bums out.

  3. I'm getting the impression the liberal media has become disenchanted with this president in a very real, and perhaps lasting way. Check this out from NY Times.

THIS January, as President Obama began his second term, the Pew Research Center asked Americans to list their policy priorities for 2013. Huge majorities cited jobs and the economy; sizable majorities cited health care costs and entitlement reform; more modest majorities cited fighting poverty and reforming the tax code. Down at the bottom of the list, with less than 40 percent support in each case, were gun control, immigration and climate change.

Yet six months later, the public’s non-priorities look like the entirety of the White House’s second-term agenda. The president’s failed push for background checks has given way to an ongoing push for immigration reform, and the administration is reportedly planning a sweeping regulatory push on carbon emissions this summer. Meanwhile, nobody expects much action on the issues that Americans actually wanted Washington to focus on: tax and entitlement reform have been back-burnered, and the plight of the unemployed seems to have dropped off the D.C. radar screen entirely.

Of course as usual, the NY Times censors any comments other than those that blame the House Republicans for all of Obama's failures, but still, its stunning to read something this blatantly honest coming from the NY Times.

This is a hoot. A former Mexican official is warning that if the USA does not take in more immigrants from Central American countries, they will become Mexico's burden. It looks like Mexico doesn't want low skilled immigrants either, but it would be a good thing if we took them in.

So much for the argument that low skilled illegal aliens boost economic growth.

Another thing that plays into these comments: UN Warns: Mexican Border 'Global Pathway' to U.S. for Illegals from Horn of Africa

The UN report reveals that it costs approximately $7,500 for an individual to reach the U.S. from Somalia illegally. The report further reveals that once someone from Africa or Asia enters Central America, their journey into the U.S. follows the same paths and methods used by Mexicans to enter the U.S. illegally.

There's a complete underground black market/underground economy centered around illegal aliens. Legalizing them without dismantling this black market will only create a vacuum sucking in millions more new illegals.

Arizona is usually #1 in the country for identity theft due to the illegals. The Obama administration is persecuting Sheriff Joe Arpaio for his raids and attempts to clean up the problem. We cannot clean up the illegal's underground economy until Obama stops protecting it. Sheriff Joe won over 50 discrimination cases brought by La Raza, the ACLU and other pro-illegal groups because he follows the law. He didn't lose his first case until Obama and Holder took over and he is only losing in Federal courts. That should tell us something about the honesty of the Federal court cases under Obama and Holder.

It appears that the Senate Immigration bill will be blue-slipped in the House.

It turns out that Harry Reid hasn't yet sent the bill to the House. Why? The reason is that the Senate bill is unconstitutional. All bills that raising revenues must start in the House.

Identity theft allows illegals to take jobs from Americans and legal immigrants. Obama won 93% of the African American vote and 13.5% of African-American are unemployed which is double the 7.6% unemployment rate. 71% of Hispanics also voted for Obama and their unemployment rate is 9.1% In California, the African-American unemployment rate is 18& and for Hispanics 13.2% (Ouch!) 25% of all illegal aliens reside in California. You wonder why there's no jobs there.

There was a good article in the Wall Street Journal yesterday written by Arkansas Republican Tom Cotton. The Senate bill is every bit as bad as the Affordable Care Act.

    1. Any additions to the border fence are at the discretion of Janet Napolitano, which means it will never get done. Remember that the fence was being built when Obummer took office. One of his first acts was to cancel the further construction of the fence, and then he later lied and claimed that he gave Republicans everything they asked for. It will never be done under his reign, even though the portions completed prior to his rule near San Diego have been very effective. So effective that it channeled more illegals through Arizona.

    2. The fine that illegals pay is $7 per month and can be waived, which means it will never be paid.

    3. The new border patrol agents are not put in place until 2017. That gives Obummer the rest of his term to bring in as many illegals as he can. If they regain control of the House, they will very likely add those to the eligibility list.

    4. The reinstated visa tracking system is also delayed by 6 years. Why? Who knows. We already have a system that is not being enforced, but why wait 6 years before firing uit up again?.

None of this will happen at all because it is implemented at the discretion of the current administration. This is another huge joke of a bill. Let the Dems criticize John Boehner for his decision to disregard the Senate bill. This bill completely stinks because it doesn't do anything except giving illegals a path to becoming Democrats.

Another lump of coal for John McCain and the other idiot RINOs in the Gang of Eight.
