Thread: Government shutdown continues, no agreement in sight

It looks like it was passed and signed. According to one of our our local talk show hosts, all they had to do was load it up with earmarks and pork and it sailed through.

This is just a temporary patch that expires in January, so the process starts all over again in a couple of months.

Well, until the Republicans are divided, nothing will pass in their favor, expired patch or not. The health care system is very far from a decent working system, and again if it was a good system, they wouldn't make it mandatory. Like I always said, if it is a great system, people will sign up voluntarily. Everything mandatory to private corporations is the pathway for disaster, corruption and abuses.

The estimated cost for the ObamaCare software system was $93 million . The current bill is $643 million and rising--and it does not work very well. This is exactly what we have come to expect from politicians.

I am still wondering how much of the $643 million was kicked back to Democrats. That has been what is normal for this administration.

The whole thing doesn't sound right from day 1. Wait, it is only the beginning...
