Hmmm...you are in a NICE niche. (and I am pretty heavy in the real estate space). My first thought would be to use your blog to connect with real estate agents in areas where you can do loans.
A mortgage broker friend of mine offers to do free "local mortgage updates" on realtor blogs from around the US. This not only gets him nice backlinks, but CONNECTS him with folks who actually NEED his services. He does it via a llittle widget that he has them put on their WP blog or he just sends it to them to post.
The links bring them back to your site where they can get up to the minute pricing and a pre-qualification app or whatever...
Then dude goes onto facebook, etc...and makes more REALTOR friends (grin). Nice guy, too...strategy works really well for him.
