I like post count, it allows users to show off and feel proud that they are active members (Aquarezz, I know you were really proud of your post count). Also, especially in BST, it helps to tell how reputable the member is (in addition to other stuff of course)

True, especially because of this topic I posted a few weeks ago The post count is good if a good comment or thread is posted, but not for bullsh** posts.

But from what I see now, it looks like the 'Get the post count back' is winning at the moment

But that's for DigitalPoint, and I'm glad we're not DP
All I can say that you are mastermind in buying links . But I have seen that newbies never think about such things and just check large post counts and buy sign links .

According to me post counts matter a lot.
Badmash you are absolutely right, as this is a webmaster forum everyone here wants to do business and link sales is one of those prominent ones.

Thanks for your supportive words BlueCheri . Guys first try to understand that most of us are webmasters and we are here to make nb froum better than others .

Why - because we want good friends as well as traders , so we can make money online . We are not Rich Webmasters like Sir Will but yes all of them understand that what is the main reason that all webmasters are joining this forum . If everybody want to enjoy and chat than they can join social networks and add cool babes but first we need money to survive and to pay our connection bill and that is possible with good earnings .

I hope I am not wrong , if I am than do correct me .

I like post count too. For example when I see Aquarezz nick I know right away that he is spammer also I see who is new and who is active very quickly

I've been to a few forums that have post counts disabled, the community feeling was probably closer. People traded more actively, and didn't discriminate new users. That's the way it should be. When you're new, you should not be forced to post a million posts that are not worth reading just to be recognized.

Post count doesn't show any real sense of authority or trust, it simply shows how many posts you have.

Actually no one see's that where the posts are !
