    BlogStew - Making Money Blogging

    Making Money Blogging

Cast your experienced eyes over this site guys. All the sites I have look very similar in appearance to this one, so any ideas or such can easily be applied to the rest of them. I'm looking for feedback on ad placement primarily, but if you can come up with anything else than that would great.

I've ran the site through Blogstew.com - Blog Stew so I know of the 5 missing alt tags, still 91% aint to bad!

Hmm, personally I wouldn't have more than one navigation bar. Also, you might consider using link units. Nice to see you're making use of the 336x280, but it'd probably be better to embed it as part of the content, which strangely... this post, doesn't appear to have a lot of. AdSense are pretty picky with their publishers and are known to get rid of the ones that do not fill their page with a decent amount of content. Otherwise, it appears to be a rather nice starting point!

  4. When I look at the source code for the page, I see that the 728x90 AdSense leaderboard loads before the 336x280 large rectangle. This tells AdSense to place the most valuable ads in the leaderboard.

This may not be what you want, if the leaderboard delivers a lower CTR than the large rectangle. You could be optimizing for more clicks on lower-paying ads and fewer clicks on higher-paying ads.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Thanks, I took some time messing with the colours to make sure they complement each other.

Directly under the header I have the pages and categories, I'm going to remove the cats and place them into the sidebar. That search page is gone, it was on my list of to do things, that I forgot to do! Thanks for picking up on it though.

From my Adsense stats page the leader board picks up quite a few more page impressions, however the 336x280 has the highest CTR. I never knew Google places the most valuable adds within the first Adsense code it picks up, I'll defiantly look at getting that changed.

    Cheers for the help guys
