Feedback needed for my Sweet Potato Mash site

    Hi NB,

I have just built Sweet Potato Mash - Recipes & Nutrition Information and I am looking forward to your feedback. Actually, it is the first recipe site I have built on my own, and a few posts are relatively short. The next site I am going to make will be bigger and more important, so besides the article length (and better structured posts) I will be grateful for any pieces of advice.

    Thanks!

Looks good. I'd have suggested it might look neater if the ad on the left beside each specific recipe were moved to the blank yellow box of the same size in the upper part of right-hand bar. Less intrusive, and as someone that reads recipe sites regularly I can attest I tend to avoid the ones where the ads compete too hard with the content. Just my .02.

Will think about removing the in-content ad you mentioned, at the least on the landing page. I have copied this concept from my tart cherry juice site which has a similar layout, acceptable bounce rate and a CTR which makes me happy. However, visitor satisfaction also matters to me.

The yellow square on the top of the right sidebar is an AdSense square which has not been filled by Google. I noted that for a new site this might take a little while.
