    Hi there, Sami.
I think you'll also need to make a .htaccess file in your /images/ directory, and add:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?madonnafans.info/.*$ [NC]
    RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg|png|js|css)$ - [F]

All of the other stuff is working - but anti-hotlinking isn't yet. Not sure why.

    Hi Kovich,

I just placed a .htaccess with that code only in every directory that had a picture in it not just the image dir.

The gallery has many different image files so I placed that in all of them

Hi there. Looks like you might need to try this code instead:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?madonnafans.info [NC]
    RewriteRule \.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif)$ - [NC,F,L]

There we go. That should be all you need to do.

Anti-Hotlinking is a bit tricky sometimes.

    Hi,

Is this to go everywhere or just on the main?

I'm pretty sure it would only need to go in the main .htaccess because a .htaccess file applies to the folder it's in, and every folder under it.

Hmm... I replied to this earlier, but now I don't see my reply!

I'll say it again: You should only have to put that code in your main .htaccess file.

I liked the site but the banner disappoints a bit. While the first photo is cool the other three are alike with different dress colors. This would make anyone a bit disinterested as they look at the top photos in the site.
Your site is for all to see and Madonna's images are so easily available.

    1) 301 Redirect causes "Some Loss of PageRank".

You need to change the url Madonna Fan Site - Photos Bio and More MadonnaFans.info to Madonna Fan Site - Photos Bio and More MadonnaFans.info in the navigation bar even though you have done a 301 redirect. The reason is that a 301 Redirect causes "Some Loss of PageRank". You read more about this in the following interview: Matt Cutts Interviewed by Eric Enge - Google Crawl and Site Architecture

    2) Google AdSense Ad Formats
I recommend using the Large Rectangle (336 x 280) blended into the content and a (336 x 280) ad underneath the content. Ads in the sidebar and outside of the heatmap don't generate many clicks.

It can sometimes be difficult to use the 336x280 format due to the template. The following should also work well with the content and underneath.

    Square (250 x 250)
    Medium Rectangle (300 x 250)

Here's a reference to adsense ad formats:

    https://www.google.com/adsense/stati...L25YiMbuKTFxVw

    3) Content

The celebrity niche is good for traffic. I don't think that it will be cost effective to SEO a domain into the 1st page results for a high profile celebrity like Madonna. Content is a good way to get some traffic. I recommend using the google auto suggest to identify keywords to target. You could either include some information on the pages to target the keyword. Another idea is to put up a page with a short article of 200 words aligned with the title and page name. The short articles don't need to be included on the menu. Just use text links from content on the other pages. Kind of like wiki. One keyword that I identified is "madonna face lift" which is actually a high paying niche.
