New Teenius Design

Hey guys.

I've got the other thread locked, so please continue discussion in here.

Basically, recently I've got a new theme on www.teenius.com and I was wondering what you all thought of it?

Any help/advice/words would be greatly appreciated :)

As I said in the other thread, I think it is great and I love the way your articles are displayed on your homepage, especially with the images on the right. (Do you make them yourself?:P)

Only downpoint is the RSS area, too flashy in my opinion. Also, when you click on the Guest post page, the rectangle in your navigatio bar doesn't become gray.

Good job overall! ;)

I loved the new design.. But I guess you should make those top Popular Posts more eye catching ?

Also I just noticed that the main content 'box' (if we can call it this way) isn't aligned with the header of your blog. is this wanted?

Nic... yes,it is meant to overlap like that :)

What changes would you suggest making to the RSS box? Personally I feel it looks really nice and stands out, but clearly people aren't liking it?

And, Enk, how would you suggest making it stand out more?

Simon, it depends from person to person I guess. I like the RSS box.

Well it is not THAT bad, it's just that the main colors of your theme are green and gray, so the orange box looks a bit lost. Honestly, I don't know what you can do to make it bette, so I guess you'll have to leave it as it is now. :P

I do see where you're coming from, but orange is the colour of RSS so it seemed fitting. Also, on my old theme, one of the main things was that people wanted the RSS to be more accessible, so I think by doing it in such a bold colur we've achieved that.

Other thing, the search bar is a bit hard to find...

Yeah, that's something I've been looking at fixing. The one there at the moment is just a temporary measure until I can find something attractive that goes well with the site :)
