Some pointers from me:
- Need a footer.
- You need to have a border to the left and right IMO, else it looks weird to me.
Guys / Girls,
I'd really value your opinions on this new site - Home | WeAreHome
Currently still in development so no SEO stuff as yet just some comments on look and feel would be great, it's also being re - branded with a different partner and needs putting through validation.
Thanks for spending the time,
I actually like the simplicity you have going on, but I would center your footer elements so the user can see them. Perhaps add a light border on top so you can see the footer.- Need a footer.
I would just make the entire page white. TBH I think it looks cool without a border.- You need to have a border to the left and right IMO, else it looks weird to me.
One small tip - white on black is EXTREMELY taxing on the viewer. Instead of using #fff for your white color, use something offwhite, like #FAFAFA.
I really like how it looks tho. Great job!
Really great to have some feedback been working on this for about three months solid and am so sick of it it's unbelievable.
I completly agree with your comments on the footer and especially the white on black - however, the client has insisted on white on black so I'm a bit stuck.
Also the background of the body has had so many different colors its going to be impossible to change. It was originally a darker grey which bordered the site somewhat in line with Farrhads comment, and I'd personally like it to be more distinct but again the client is happy so...bit stuck
Favicon going in once it's live along with SEO etc.
Personally although its a small thing, I think you should make the "intro" css id 310px high so it matches what is to its right. This would also allow you to increase the line-height to 1.5em, giving a more spaced out and easy to read feel. You would however need to clean up th edges on the gif coffee cup though.
Other small things that don't align such as the "slide to select your property" message here and the elements to its right. A simple top margin to it would align them perfectly.
Oh and something else i noticed:
I'd agree with your comments - slider page is under redevelopment at
Slide and select for properties to suit your pocket
most of it's tidied up now just got to SEO the damn thing - we've had really positive feedback on this design so I'm mostly happy - there is a lot I would have done differently, but this has been designed and implemented through four graphic designers, two IT managers, two different CEO's, five or six Marketing managers and a massive amount of sales people. Oh and me.
It's also caused me to quit my job, due to incredible amount of late nights, quite frankly I'd give my left nut to never have to see the bloody thing again.
Thanks for all the feedback guys and girls, hopefully have something more interesting to look at next time.
Hi Sneaky - was (still am for two more weeks) working for the parent company of this site.
