You need a real logo. If you're going for "rockstar" then you should not be using a "web 2.0" styled design. Go for grunge...and don't make it blue.

Blue is overused at any rate anyways, so I would definitely vary the color scheme some.

As far as navigation goes, I would probably use the classic horizontal navigation, and add some icons for interest.
