My mom has been loyal reader of OW. I showed her the new WW site. She said she loves the new name and feels the re-branding rocks.
As for me I liked the name OW more :P (This really may be just me). However you have really improved the way the pages and category are displayed.
On the contact page 'Comments' needs to be in bold too. The Name and eMail text are in bold so you have to do the same.
These minute things do leave an impact.
Aww! I'm glad that she likes it.Tell her I said hi!
The name "outstanding writer" does carry with it a more professional weight. However, I'm accepting the domain name and branding change for two reasons:As for me I liked the name OW more :P (This really may be just me). However you have really improved the way the pages and category are displayed.
1. Media companies need consistency, and I can't split myself between so many projects. Deciding to drop Minus the Pie and my plans for that brand in an attempt to build something tangible was a hard decision, but it's about the content, not the name. I picked OW out of a list of domain names. We invented writing whale.
2. There was no way I was going to start managing two different writing blogs. On top of which, we are in the process of gaining site managers, so I'll have more help with content.
Am I going to lose some readers? Probably. However, my content has gone up in quality, and with the launch of a new brand, maybe all of our websites will benefit. Plus the whale is just plain cool. I have named him Wallace.
Thanks dude! You seem to spot these things faster than I can. I don't know why every design I make has a tiny fluke lately. Ugh.On the contact page 'Comments' needs to be in bold too. The Name and eMail text are in bold so you have to do the same.
