Tech Noxx

Over the past 3 days, I have been working on and developing Tech Noxx.

Other than more content (and more ads, at this stage - I don't want to look MfA), what should I do?

Labour

I have:

• Designed/coded a fully unique HTML/CSS template.
• Converted it to operate with my own custom CMS.
• Performed some alterations to my CMS to get it running as it should.
• Ordered a draft for content to go on the front page.
• Written/published a couple of pages, and performed a bit of link building.
• Rewritten the draft of the front page to be more readable/presentable - length had to suffer; the draft was just under 600 words long, the front page is now 351 words long.

Day 1: Designing / CMS.
Day 2: Writing content, and a bit of link building.
Day 3: Preparing the front page. I am also just about to do a bit more writing.

I'm a bit low on cash, so I'm going to attempt to make this as expense-free as possible (at least until either a) Tech Noxx earns some cash or b) I earn some cash).

Expenses/Earnings

Day 1 & 2: $0.00

Day 3: -$19.19

• -$20.00 - front page draft.
• $0.81 - AdSense earnings.

Day 4: -$11.79

• -$12.00 - 2 new articles with FrontPageContent (have not arrived yet).
• $0.16 - AdSense earnings.

Day 5: $1.97

• $1.97 - AdSense earnings.

Day 6: $1.12

• $1.12 - AdSense earnings.

Day 7: $1.97

• $1.97 - AdSense earnings.

Total: -$25.96

Your design is nice and simple. Have you considered adding a tagline/slogan explaining what your website is about?

If you removed the adsense add in the text and replaced it with a picture for each post it would make your site more attractive and appealing to visitors.

Overall the design is good, keep working on content.

I agree with Gameover .The design is good.I would advice you to incorporate a logo in your site.

"Tech Noxx" sounds pretty self-explanatory is to what it's about, at least to me.

Most traffic will come from related websites or search engines - so I would expect that if they are searching for "proxies," they know that they are visiting a website that contains content relating to proxies.

That it would, but it would dramatically decrease my AdSense earnings. At the end of the day, I think it is pretty important for my visitors to find two things: 1. answers to their questions 2. products that may help them to achieve something.

Pictures are pretty, that's about it. Plus, most tech-related articles (i.e. What is a Proxy?) would be difficult to supply interesting pictures for.

I think the logo is fine as it is now. The simplicity of it is more attractive than any professional logo you could pay for.

I like the design and its simplicity.
Out of curiousity, how are you going to answer complicated technical questions of a subject that you don't know about and how long will it take for an answer? And, do you only answer IT related questions ? That is not really clear.

By doing a bit of research and writing. I think that you thought that I was running a consultancy service. So far, for the 3 articles that I've written, I have spent about 45-60 minutes on each. :D

Mainly IT-related articles (not just Q&A's), but I might publish some scientific articles as well. :)

Today was a pretty excellent day, coming in at just under $2. Tech Noxx is only a 5 page website at the moment.

- very good and clean code
- you should add some graphics since site looks like some MFA site
- some tech favicon would look great too
- more content is probably coming
- I would move that privacy policy in the footer
- rss?

I envy you on your earnings. I will copy your add positions to some of my sites that sucks in earnings.

I'll get a favicon made, when I decide to get a logo made. At the moment, Tech Noxx isn't really worth branding.

Talk me into it. I've never liked RSS, I've always found my content republished (in most instances without a linkback) at thousands of different locations.
