Did Google Stop Indexing forums?

Hi guys,

Before google was showing many Indexed links from forums for my websites. Was having good number of backlinks from webmaster and related forums. But while checking today many of the forum links have been disappeared. Any one else experienced this?

I'm finding quite a few pages from NB in the search results. I don't believe that Google has stopped indexing forums.

How are you checking for backlinks?

May be they have updated the backlinks....Googlebot indexes all sites.It cannot differentiate a forum and an ordinary site...

am checking with google toolbar and seo quake. Even in both indexed and backlinks it is not showing any previously shown links from dp or nb..

My Google Toolbar is showing this thread as cached.

Google can definitely differentiate. ever noticed the last post time for thread results on search pages?

Since forum threads are highly dynamic in nature, it is quite normal sometimes to find certain pages not found and some pages indexed within minutes of creation

forums have a lot of outgoing links, so it is possible that Google may not be giving much importance to them.

however, I don't think forums have any indexing problems.

in August, my forum has received 50% more traffic compared to July. I don't really track the number of indexed pages, but I am sure there has been no major drop for my forum.
