I had an EMD site that got hit pretty badly in this latest round of updates. I did sell it a while ago so it's the new owner that's suffering now unfortunately, so not really my problem anymore but it's a shame because it was doing rather well. I built it up over several months earlier in the year and it was a dozen or so pages all with unique content and updated regularly, so should've been OK. I haven't seen anybody post actual figures so I hope it helps to see a real site that got hit.

The site used to earn me $150 a month from Adsense and the alexa got just below the 100k mark before this. It used to get a good 70%+ organic (SE) traffic and 80% of those visitors used US English according to my GA, so decent enough imho. It used to show up at the top 2nd or 3rd place on the first page of Google search for the chosen keywords and first place for some longer ones, traffic was rising steadily and I was happy with that. I don't have access to the GA stats anymore but the traffic stats are public so can be seen by anyone.
The StatCounter info shows what happened over two months, the big drops happened after Sept 28th and Oct 5th 2012 (give or take) which roughly coincides with with Google's
messing 'algo changes'. It hasn't recovered since. The alexa rank has also suffered. See attached.
From my point of view there's no good reason why this site needed to be hammered, it was quite popular and provided good info for those visiting. Great care and attention was used when creating it and I stuck to big G's terms to the letter.

If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a terrible warning...
