If you rely on google to make you money?
You are doomed for failure!
So, all those businesses you say lost money?
Not really, because they relied on google.
Now if the so called small businesses selling actual real products (not ebooks, software, etal) can not make it in the real world (offline), then it may be good they are gone.
Anyways, you go on thinking google ruined business on the net.
I say, businesses on the net should not rely on google.
It is like saying people shouldn't relies on the state electric company, when you know that even if you own your own electric system, you need to hook up to the grid and sell your surplus electricity at a very low rate back to the electric company. The state electric company could shut you down anytime if you don't obey their monopolistic rules.
