Google Has Made People Afraid To Link

Google has made it so people are scared to link to content. That’s what it has come to. I don’t think it’s ever been Google’s intention to scare people away from linking when it’s natural and deserving, but its never-ending advice, warnings, rules and policy re-wordings have simply led to mass confusion, and people being afraid to link to legitimate content in a legitimate way for fear that Google will penalize their site in search rankings.

Are you afraid to build links? I am wondering if after all working on site SEO is not the solution to avoid any penalty and let the audience linking to your site. What do you think about it?

    Myself?
I pay no attention to google and what they are doing.
Geesh...if I did, my three blogs would be gone.

So I have no problem linking to sites in my posts.
    And on my sidebars?
Who cares about google and what they think of the few links I have there?

The problem that most people have is that we cannot take a cavalier attitude about Google's antics when our primary income is dependent upon what they do. They have already literally destroyed hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions of online businesses. They have squashed billions of dollars of value on the web.

Rather than ignoring them, I am working to get the Google monkey off of my back through list building and a more direct marketing approach. You cannot and should not depend upon the actions of a company that is a fickle and misguided as Google.

I believe that the key now is marketing and get the heck out of google guidelines. The SEO, link builders, handmade webdesign coder are going to disappear. Direct marketing is costly and to protect your investment, you have to narrowly target the audience and e-wall protected to give access to your customer only by a sign up page and presentation company pages, so you are mostly protecting your work, and the products. You are limiting spam, copyright infringement, competitors, etc

It is a different approach for an ecommerce that may pay off in a long run.

I would love to see proof that google has wiped out billions of dollars from the web.
I see businesses, large and small, doing just as good now as before.

Now, I remember a time not long ago, I could put up advertising for sale and bam!
Get lots of takers right off the bat.
    Now?
Webmasters just do not want to purchase advertising, no matter the price or the site.

Being afraid to link out--that's exactly what Google wants, isn't it? If they're afraid to link out, then they'll only consider linking out to sites that they really trust.

Personally, I always make sure that I link out, even on every single article/post/piece of content. It's just natural to link out.

Imagine what your site would look like if you had no outgoing links or virtually no outgoing links. Probably wouldn't rank very well for anything.
Need links? Try AuthorLinks where you can buy or sell links based on Authorship and Klout score. Check out my blog or like me on Facebook.

Maybe google wants to get rid of all blogs/sites that aggregate stuff from other blogs/sites?
Google may want all blogs/sites to have nothing but original material.

Link love has been the basis of the web.
Now google says, the love fest is over.

Well, you not going to see the proof, but there are only one place you can find what you want, it is the departement of taxation, business licenses and a very good observation. Not sure if you are following what the big boxes stores are saying in the Press, one thing is sure, the customer pool is shrinking.

That's IF you decide to be a google sheep! More I stay away from these authoritarians globalists monopolist and more I feel better. Google run indirectly by predators, just follow the money and when you know who is behind google people can understand many things IF they are educated themselves enough to understand the whole mechanism. Just to give you some hints, goldman sachs, jp morgan, etc and believe me, they are not philanthropists.

Walk or die is the kind of google mentality, it doesn't work with me because I don't dance. google can go F*** themselves.

Again, no proof, then it did not happen.
That is just someone coming up with figures because they THINK google did that.
No proof that google DID that!

What do you think all of these algorithms are made for since these last years? You have to be blind to not notice how the top organic search taking over pay search and who this kind of policy favor the brands, their affiliates, and the big businesses.

You want proofs? You just need to go in every forums and read what the small business owner have to say, some explain how they lost their business, some other struggle to stay in business, and others cannot afford the google casino pay system.

I personally had 5 manufacturers, some were making millions of dollars, others were making thousands of dollars, all complained that the last years they lost a lot business after the new google algorithms and business was the worse they ever experimented. These companies are in business for more than two decades. I also see many of my competitors going out of business not long after the new google algorithms, then I it was finally my turn to go out of business.

I can also told you that the generalized tax on internet is a google and a amazon suggestion to governments. This will destroy more small businesses who don't sell like the big box stores a huge volume and don't make their products overseas for peanuts.

You have to think out of the box and read a lot to know what they are trying to do, and so far they are pretty successful, because people don't realize yet the whole game.
