Am sure many newbies here have questions regarding site maps and hyperlinks. Or about importance of site maps and hyperlinks. So just thought of sharing some information with NB members.

The use of Sitemap becomes even more vital if the website has pages that can only be accessed through user entry. Sitemap will guide web crawlers in discovering and accessing your webpages.

is it always necessary to submit a sitemap or will they find it of their own volition? I mean i have of course submitted sitemap to google, but not yahoo or bing..but they'd find it anyways right? but would they process and use it?

Yes, but it might take some time for the Search Engine to find and analyze your sitemap by itself.

It is always best to submit it yourself to help search engines index your pages without troubles and less time.
